How the Internet Can Help You Organize Your Class Reunion

It's hard to imagine how earlier generations stayed in touch with each other well enough to organize their class reunions. While trying to organize reunions, many people find that their classmates have been scattered across the globe. Follow these tips to find your classmates online. If they're out there, you can find them.

Tip #1: Search for Them Online

Use a search engine to find the classmates you've lost contact with. Even search engines like Google and Bing could give you contact info for people you haven't seen in years.

If you can't find someone using basic search engines, try a service like MyLife. A premium membership will let you search several social media platforms and websites. It makes it easier for you to find people no matter where they've gone.

Tip #2: Start an Email Chain

It's impossible for one person to stay in contact with all of those people, but you can start an email chain that will reach far and wide. First, look through your contact information to see who you have updated information for and who you still need to find. Then, send an email to the current contact list asking everyone if they still keep up with those you've lost contact with.

It won't take long before old friends send you the email addresses and phone numbers of people you haven't spoken to in years.

Tip #3: Advertise Online

Social networking sites make money with targeted advertising. If you have enough funding for your reunion, use that opportunity to attract people you wouldn't have found otherwise (it's often difficult to find people, especially women, who have changed their names).

An online ad that targets people from your area and age group could find people that have fallen out of contact with everyone else in your class.

With these tips, you should find that you can put together a great class reunion that will encourage everyone to stay in closer contact for the next one!
